Ruth

Acrylic on canvas.  30 x 30 x 1.5" gallery wrapped canvas.  The story of Ruth is one of terrible tragedy, loss, redemption and lifelong friendship. When Naomi's two sons, one of them Ruth's husband, dies, they set out together for Israel, a widow and a foreigner during a time of famine. Ruth is redeemed by Naomi's distant cousin Boaz after he allows her to glean the fields protected under the watch of his servants and guards. Their marriage eventually leads to the family line of David and eventually Jesus Christ, the ultimate Redeemer. As Ruth stooped to glean the fields, so grains have been included in the media on this canvas. Further, Moabite hieroglyphics have been carved into the canvas to symbolize Ruth's heritage. And precious copper signifies her royal bloodline to Christ. Her Hebrew name, meaning friend, is located in the upper right corner.

 

"Ruth" was a gift to the Leigh family during my dear friend Tania's battle with breast and liver cancer.  Tania was "Ruth" in so many ways.  She sacrificed much for love and friendship.  She survived against many odds the first time around in her battle with cancer.  And she maintained a special relationship with her Creator.  May this painting be a reminder of our "Ruth." May it provide comfort and peace in a time of loss.  

Each work is  a custom creation.  No two works are alike in any collection.  If you are not 100% satisfied with your purchase, simply send it back within 7 days and we’ll refund the full cost of the item minus shipping costs. To be eligble for a refund, your item must be unused and in the same condition you recieved it. Your item must be in the original packaging. You must have a reciept or proof of purchase. 

 

Once we recieve your item, we will inspect it.  If you return is approved, we will issue a refund via the original form of payment.

All items ship from the studio 5-7 business days from your order. Items are carefully packaged to preserve each piece and safeguard it on it's journey to a new owner.
