The Hoffman Sessions

November 4th, 2017 marked the date of the first performance of the Jack Novotny Trio at the Dana Rose Studio. What a night! The "Hoffman Sessions," as they've been named, featured original compositions by Jack Novotny and the musical talents of the legendary Juini Booth, Marlon Jordan, Benito Gonzalez, Dr. Mark Lomax and Edwin "Eddie" Bayard--jazz giants all right here in Columbus for a private show! Original artwork by yours truly from the series "Women of the Bible: Courage, Sacrifice, Survival" and "Palettes" demonstrated that abstract expressionism and action painting can be uniquely linked with jazz. Bold color and characters. Bright color and texture. Harmony and improvisation. Proceeds benefited the She Has a Name project to fight the injustice of human trafficking.
